This Raw Food, sorry I mean super food – has an enormous amount of antioxidants, thousands in fact! These nutrient packed little gems are very aptly referred to as ‘The seeds of the future‘. The future because they are so amazing at protecting us, fighting the free radicals that destroy our cells, yep they can truly be called good soldiers!
Cherries are really good balancers, they regulate our hormones and believe it or not they help with our sleep patterns, apparently if we eat a handful before bed they will help us with sleep patterns?
The Raw Food Cherry is very rich in the anti-oxidant melatonin. Melatonin calms down our nervous system and any irritability which in turn relieves things like neurosis, insomnia and headaches, therefore we sleep better!

The Raw Food Cherry Smoothie
You would need a lot of these super raw food gems to make a juice and it could turn out expensive - amazing juice but maybe best to go with a smoothie, I like to use frozen cherries, just take the stones out before freezing.
10 pitted fresh or frozen Cherries
1 Banana
1 cup fresh water
sprinkling of cacao (optional but great with cherries)
Blend the banana with the water first until smooth. Then add the cherries, garnish with cherries and cacao… delicious!
