Immune System – My last Post – Lets’s Get This Clear!Posted by Cher Fauvel on Aug 6, 2013 in Raw Food Benefits | 4 comments
Immune System – yesterday I wrote about healing pets with mother natures gifts and I mentioned a low immune system, I am concerned about the way some people read my words, so I write today with hope that I can make it more clear!
I do apologize for any misunderstanding, I am actually really stunned that my words were misread, maybe that is me just expecting people to know more, but it comes down to the thing I keep harping on about which is the fact that we all need to know the basics of how we work!
We owe it to ourselves to learn, we owe it to our health! Taking our amazing body for granted could cost our life and definitely good health.
I am passionate about this, and again I apologize, I just wish people would take the time to learn a little about how fantastically clever our bodies are and if we support our body we have the best chance of amazing health!
I truly believe there would be less sickness in the world if we took a little time to get it!
My Last Post – Immune System
So my last post – Healing Pets With Mother Natures Gifts - in this post I am talking about my dog and her immune system and how if we take care of that then our pets will not become ill and the same applies to all living things!
The immune is a very complex system, it works very hard to keep us in good health.
Every day we breath and eat hundreds of germs and bacteria and our immune sorts it all out for us, without what I like to call our ‘good soldiers’, then we get all sorts of problems.
I say good soldiers because that is how I taught my young son to understand the immune system and even now he still refers to good and bad soldiers
Good Health Is Only Possible With A Strong Immune System
Our Immune system is designed to defend us against millions of bacteria, microbes, viruses, toxins and parasites that would love to invade the living body.
If you think of someone who has been unwell for a time and is on medication, you may notice there is usually a series of things going wrong, maybe a cold or other virus, sickness, diarrhea etc, sometimes it can feel like we are falling apart! This is all a process of the immune system becoming weak or overloaded, sometimes a virus or infection is actually a result of the immune working, it can overwork to protect us sometimes and that can cause problems too!
If we cut ourselves, our good soldiers will rush to protect us from germs and bacteria getting in through the broken skin, an infection is usually where the immune missed something, but it will be back to sort that, clever eh?
When a living thing starts to die, (bare with me) the immune shuts off completely within hours and the body becomes invaded by all sorts of bacteria, microbes, parasites and all sorts of nasties! None of these things are able to get in when your immune is working efficiently.
When we die it only takes a few weeks for these invaders to completely dismantle our body and carry it away, just leaving bones. (yuk sorry)
Our immune system is doing something amazing don’t you think?
So in my last post where I was talking about my pet having a low immune system, I was not saying she was sick, unhealthy or had an IMMUNE DISAEASE, that is a whole different kettle of fish.
The majority of people have a compromised immune system basically because of bad diet/lifestyle and not taking enough care of themselves.
A low immune can be caused by many things: poor diet, medication, recreational drugs, separation and even depression, stress is a major enemy for the immune system!
Stress will affect the immune of our pets too!
We all know when we feel low, but we don’t consider the bigger picture and the knock on effect.
Lets look at it from the other side – when we are happy, active and enjoying life, we start to glow, we notice our skin looking better, eyes brighter etc, the energy is high and the immune is strong, but maybe something sets us back and everything sinks, can you see this?
When we get low, we take even less care of ourselves, it is more important at this time to take more care than usual, we eat rubbish comfort foods that we think will make us feel better, we all know it doesn’t work! We sink lower and lower.
It is important to consider our whole system, so next time you feel low, take some action, think of your poor immune system having to work so hard, give it a helping hand – take a walk in the fresh air, take in the beauty around you, eat something that your body will love you for and get plenty of good rest.
Those who know me will know my next words ….. Juicing! Build your immune system and you! By the way, my pets also have green juice!
So, back to my last post, some people got upset thinking I was saying that I was sold a dog from a not so good breed line, I understand the panic within the pedigree dog world, but ‘NO’ this is not in any way shape or form what I was saying!
As a Therapist/Healer and living a natural as I can, I was merely talking about curing my girl of her little ailments with natural products and hopefully inspiring others to try the natural route rather than give our best friends nasty chemicals, which by the way will compromise the immune system!
I hope I have cleared up my ‘last post’ issue? Please ask if I say something that you don’t quite get, misunderstandings are so easily sorted!
My pets are included in my lifestyle choices, their health is as important to me as mine, they are my family and this is all I was trying to portray in my previous post.
Just to be sure – Silronrays Labradors are top quality breeders of over 20 years, and there is nothing wrong with the line that my Coco came from, they are also very supportive if and when I have questions. My Chocolate Lab is everything I could wish for and I would not hesitate to buy from them again. I hope this is now clear.
