I was recently observing a friend who is under some pressure at the moment and pretty stressed – she is buzzing around like a mad thing and relying on coffee to keep her going. As I watched her spinning around and missing life, I was thinking – Wow when she finally crashes she is going to feel soooo awful! So I asked her to try the super food Maca.

I read an article today with this following statement; “ Unfortunately, there’s no specific diet that works for depression. No studies have been done that indicate a particular eating plan can ease symptoms of clinical depression”. Really? – I must say I have to disagree, actually I think this is bizarre!

Have you thought of adding fresh herbs and spices to your juices and smoothies? They can bring a tantalizing change to our juices, smoothies and of course any salad, and the health benefits of just adding a little can make a huge difference.

I have to admit I don’t normally leave the skin on limes for my raw food smoothies or juices, I find them a little strong but they are perfect with the sweetness of pineapple this was truly scrummy!
