So my Raw Food Cleanse Day 1 is coming to an end  - it feels good, although I am feeling tired now – to be expected on raw food cleanse day 1. We can expect to feel a little groggy the first few days as the body detoxes, headaches and tiredness is normal although it shouldn’t be overwhelming. But just you wait until that has cleared – you will be jumping for joy.

I am not expecting to feel too much of this as my diet is high raw anyway so should not be to many detoxing symptoms… although I did go a little off the rails over the holiday period – well, we will wait and see :)

So this was my second drink for the raw food cleanse……….

 

What Is In My Raw Food Cleansing Drink?

  • A whole melon
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • about 1 – 1/2 cups of mixed berries

Strange combination I hear you say? Well no not really, you see, cucumber and melon are from the same family and so give us similar qualities.

Melons and cucumbers have amazing cooling abilities, great on a hot day and even better for my raw food cleanse day 1, with all that work going on inside the body the cooling is great for our inner organs.

Melons are perfect for the raw food cleanse day because there is nothing better for cleansing flushing feeding and hydrating! Tons of minerals in these babies, zinc and potassium – wonderful for skin hair and nails. The rind contains most of the nutrients so it is perfect for juicing.

Who needs beauty products? You will find no better skin purifier than melon and cucumber.

High water content, great for flushing out those toxins and keeping us hydrated.

The cucumber gives us much the same, again perfect for our skin, more chlorophyll in the skin, refreshes elasticity in the skin too.

I chose pineapple because I woke with a sore throat and the sniffles this morning, I wont be having any of that! Really quite normal as I am shifting any mucus!

My Raw food green juice this morning with its garlic and ginger should help with that, but my pineapple will dissolve and sweep away any lurking mucus. Pineapple is awesome for our digestion – helps to digest proteins, and restores our alkaline levels.

This fantastic raw food is great for anyone suffering with asthma or hay fever and of course the sniffles ;)

Lots more water and herb tea and then my last call before bed will be cinnamon and apple – more sweeping and cleansing :)
